At the meeting, the two Ministers informed each other of the positive results in education and training cooperation between the two sides, especially the results of the Vietnam - Germany University project - a symbol of cooperation between Vietnam and Germany in general and Hesse in particular.
In order for the Vietnam-Germany University to develop commensurate with the potential and expectations, Minister Phung Xuan Nha said that VGU should be a Hub for many German and Vietnamese universities to promote the coopeartion in training and research, advancing strengths of the two sides. In the future, VGU must be a place to provide high quality human resources for Vietnam, creating a growth engine for the southern dynamic economic region.
In response to Minister Phung Xuan Nha, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Arts of Hessen State, Angela Dorn affirmed that, as Minister, she would do her best promote the development of Vietnam - Germany University. Referring to the current global issue of the Covid-19 epidemic, Angela Dorn appreciated the effort as well as the effective solutions in prevention Covid-19 epidemic in Viet Nam and proposed the cooperation in researching on new strain of corona virus and the development of a vaccine to prevent this virus.
Minister Phung Xuan Nha said that in recent years, some Vietnamese universities have had initial success in studying this strain of virus, making a quick test kit. Minister Phung Xuan Nha said that the cooperation, sharing of experience and support of Hessen State universities will be of great significance to the community, towards proactive vaccine production. Minister Phung Xuan Nhan appreciated the scholarships from Hessen for research on virut.
