Signing Ceremony between Viet Nam and Bulgaria on education cooperation!

On December 27, 2019, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam Nguyen Van Phuc and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Vietnam Marinela Petkova signed an educational cooperation agreement between the Government. Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Government of the Republic of Bulgaria


Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate to exchange experiences and information about the two countries' education systems related to education development, management and planning; exchange of lecturers, students, graduate students, post-graduate trainees as well as other forms of cooperation; encourage direct cooperation between the general education institutions and higher education institutions of the two sides; encourage learning Vietnamese and Bulgarian.

The two sides will exchange 2 scholarships for undergraduate or masters education at each university's higher education institutions each year, including compulsory language courses; 2 doctoral training scholarships; 2 scholarships for graduate students or scientific research for a period of 9 months or divided into small scholarships with a minimum duration of 3 months; 2 language internship scholarships with duration from 6 months to 1 year. The two sides notify each other of seminars, scientific conferences, seminars or other activities related to educational development in the two countries held at national or international level.
The two sides encourage and support the establishment of direct cooperation between the general education institutions and higher education institutions of each party in accordance with the laws of each country for the purpose of exchanging plans and study programs, textbooks, audio-visual materials used in general education institutions and higher education institutions; study the history, language, literature, geography and customs of the two countries; exchanging information on effective management of training process; exchange students, graduate students and teaching staff; exchanging scientific staff to work together on priority scientific and technical projects; Encouraging establishing direct relationships between higher education institutions, including the implementation of Erasmus Mundus projects.

The educational cooperation agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria is valid from the date of signing until December 31, 2023; replacing the Education Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Training of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria in the 2012-2016 period, the implementation of the initiatives and Joint educational activities in the process will be continued until completed.
