Ho Chi Minh City College of Marketing 1. Foundation: The Ho Chi Minh City College of Marketing was established on September 1st, 1976 and has been functional since then.
2. Mandate
Its main objective is to train people with skills concerning 6 specialties that enterprises of different sectors demand. In order to keep high education quality, the College has developed competency-based curricula with special attention to methodology in helping its students enhance practical skills and work with high efficiency in field.
3. Academic Programs
Specialization Programs includes 6 branches:
- Valuation
- Marketing
- Business Management
- Business Application Computer
- Business English
- Enterprise Accounting.
After completion of each program to satisfaction, the graduates are awarded a Bachelor Diploma (3-year program) or Vocational High School Diploma (2-year program).
4. Facilities
Education facilities consist of:
- Marketing Application Research Centre
- Job Placement Office
- Computer Laboratory
- Library.
5. Teaching Staff and Students
At present the College has staff of 134 Professors, Assistant Professors and Instructors (43 have Ph.D. degrees, 64 have M.B.A. degrees and 24 have Bachelor''''s Degree)
The total number of students reaches 4,000, including
- 3,000 students of full-time courses
- 1,000 students of on-the-job sessions, and
- more than 600 trainees of short-term training programs.
6. International Relations
Extending co-operation with domestic and foreign institutions is one of the College’s major efforts to exchange information concerning experiences in educational technology development, implementing joint research programs, organizing seminars and workshops, and absorbing financial assistance in servicing need of academic researches, human resources development.
In this regard the College of Marketing has established ties with different international universities and foundations such as Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Vietnam-Japan Economic Co-operation Centre and several Japanese Universities; Arizona State University, William & Mary University (U.S.A.); Singaporean National University (Singapore); Tiang Hwa University and Wang Chiou University (China); British Valuation Institute; and several Thai, Australian and Malaysian Education establishments.
Apart from that, the College also has established close relationship with hundreds of enterprises in order to provide conditions for heightening its students’ practical skills.
